Our Board

	Brian Gurney, Chairman Mr Gurney is Chairman of the King Country Electric Power Trust. Before retiring from his career, he held senior management positions within the food production operations of Unilever. Mr Gurney was responsible for the introduction and oversight of a number of production techniques new to New Zealand.
	Mahadevan Bahirathan, Director Mahadevan Bahirathan is Group Manager Electricity for Todd Energy. He is responsible for Todd Energy’s electricity generation and retail activities. Todd Energy's generation assets include the Mangahao Hydro Scheme and Bay of Plenty Energy’s hydro, geothermal and thermal co-gen assets. Mahadevan has a professional background as an Electrical Engineer and over 17 years experience in the energy industry. Mahadevan is a director of Solar Heating Solutions Limited.
	Brian Needham, Director Mr Needham is a chartered accountant and previously Chief Financial Officer of the Dalgety Group and New Zealand Post where he was part of a small team responsible for taking a loss making Government Department and turning it into a profitable world class postal organisation. He has also provided consultancy services to a number of postal services around the world since retiring from NZ Post.
	Toby Stevenson, Director Toby Stevenson is an independent energy consultant with international economics consultancy firm LECG. His area of expertise is electricity risk management, trading and market design. Toby was General Manager Electricity Trading with Contact Energy (1996 – 2003) and was the Chairman of the NZEM Rules Committee (2000 – 2003). Toby was a member of the Electricity Technical Advisory Group that completed a Ministerial Review of the Electricity Industry in 2009.
	Richard Tweedie, Director, LLB Richard Tweedie is Managing Director of Todd Energy. Richard has been a Director of King Country Energy since 1999. He is also a Director of Todd Petroleum Mining Co Limited, Todd Energy Limited, Independent Energy Limited, Todd Coal Limited, Viking Holding Ltd, Maui Development Limited, Nova Gas Limited, BOPE Limited, Todd Tasman Oil Limited, Cue Energy Resources NL, Todd Petrogas Limited, PlatSearch NL, Shell Todd Oil Services Limited, Todd Mangahao Limited, Todd BOPE Limited, Todd Taranaki Limited, Todd Taranaki No 2 Limited, Todd Petroleum Australia Limited, Todd Canterbury Oil Limited, Viking Mining Co Limited, Viking Investments Limited, Makara Windfarms Limited, Moody Creek Limited, Hydro West New Zealand and Todd Pohokura Limited.

Our Management Team

	Rob Foster, Chief Executive Officer Rob Foster was appointed CEO in August 2009. He has fifteen years of senior executive experience and has worked in the energy industry with TransAlta NZ and Mercury Energy. Rob also spent seven years with Macquarie New Zealand. Prior to joining King Country Energy, Rob spent two years working with ABNAMRO Craig’s as a Director, Equities Research for the energy, utilities and property sectors.
	Pamela Walklin, Chief Financial Officer Pamela Walklin gained electricity industry experience working for Powerco during the electricity industry reforms from 1998 through 2001. Prior to joining King Country Energy in April 2010, she worked as Financial Controller for Tuwharetoa Maori Trust Board in Turangi where she was responsible for corporate services functions. Prior to working for Tuwharetoa Maori Trust Board, Pamela was Head of Finance for television production company, NHNZ Ltd, in Dunedin.
	Helen Peacock, Retail Business Manager Helen has worked with King Country Energy for 17 years. She is responsible for the retail operations of the business, including key account management, growth, marketing, sponsorship, and community relations.
	Chris Fincham, Energy Supply Manager Chris has been with King Country Energy since 2002 and is responsible for management of hydro stations and generation development activities. He is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with sixteen years experience in the electricity industry working in various capacities.
