Standard Fees and Charges

This schedule of fees covers the costs of the extra services that we may provide. If you ever have any questions about your energy supply or the services offered by KCE please contact our friendly customer service team on 0800 523 637.


New Connection Fee – $45

This fee is for connecting a new property’s energy supply and may also be applied when a property is reconnected


Service Fee – $80

This charge is applied to your account following a disconnection for non payment of an account and may apply even if the disconnection did not physically occur


Dishonoured Payment Fee – $20

Charged for each payment dishonoured by your bank


No Access – $20

Charged when pre-arranged access has not been provided


Duplicate Copy of Invoice/Statement – $5

Charged for each additional copy of Invoice/Statement requested by the customer


Special Read/Pricing Plan Change – $50

Will be charged if requested by the customer 


Domestic Bond – $120

May be charged


Business/Farming/Special Bond – 2 months accounts


Meter Testing – At cost


Meter Tampering/Power Theft – Full recovery of losses and costs


Data Requests – $40 per hour/Minimum Charge $10


Other charges may apply for additional services
