Operations Update

With New Zealand currently at Alert Level 2, our power stations and physical office remain open to the public, visitors, employees and contractors. We encourage anyone visiting to sign in on the Government’s Covid-19 tracer app and observe social distancing, as we continue to focus on the ongoing health, safety and wellbeing of those visiting our sites. Please continue to refer back to our website for further updates, and read more about staying safe around our power stations here.

Our Mission

To be a valued generator of electricity

KCE is a hydropower electricity generator, with five power stations in the King Country and Horowhenua districts.

Our vision is to transform our communities through energy, by focusing on innovation and new technology, relationships and sustainability.

Health, safety and wellbeing underpins everything we do as responsible essential service operators, and custodians of one of New Zealand’s most precious natural resources.

Our Values

We embrace these values every day and they're reflected in the way that we engage and do business.

Our Company

Our head office is based in Taumarunui, and our power stations are in Mangahao, Kuratau, Wairere, Mokoauiti, and Piriaka.

KCE power stations are located in some wonderful areas of the country and can be great places to visit - many parts of our schemes are available to the public, but there are restricted areas. Please obey all health and safety signage.

Stay up to date with the latest news and updates on our Facebook page.

We regularly share news and updates from our community and region, and interesting facts about our region and the history of our power stations.

Have you ever been a KCE shareholder?

We’re on the hunt for ex-shareholders who have changed their postal address or didn’t accept the share buyback offer in 2018. Could that be you?
